Save fuel

on your company cars

By saving fuel, you can not only reduce your costs – you also contribute to the green transition by having a more sustainable operation. Here are some tips to help you save fuel:

Regular maintenance: Make sure your company cars get regular service, including oil changes, air filter replacement, spark plug control, etc. A well-maintained car works more efficiently and uses less fuel.

Driving behavior: You can encourage your employees to drive carefully and avoid fast acceleration, abrupt braking and high speed. This can help significantly reduce fuel consumption.

Reduce idle time: You can encourage your employees to turn off the engine when the car is not in use, especially during longer stops such as waiting times for delivery or waiting for customers.

Air pressure in tires: Make sure that the tires on your company cars are properly inflated. Underinflated tyres can increase rolling resistance and thus fuel consumption. The rule of thumb is that if the tire pressure is 10 percent too low, fuel consumption increases by five percent. Therefore, remember to check the tyre pressure regularly – for example when refuelling.

Avoid unnecessary weight: Remove unnecessary and redundant tools or equipment from company cars, as extra weight can increase fuel consumption.

Speed: Slow down – especially on the highway. The faster the car goes, the greater the air resistance, and in this way fuel consumption increases. Drive 110 km/h instead of 130 km/h on the motorway. This can result in savings of 15-20 percent.

By implementing these few tips, you can achieve significant savings on fuel consumption for your company cars.
